A good day. Jim & Ben hauled up a little corn. Jim hauled some rails and made his hog pen larger, then they stripped tobacco. Mr. Owen finished a cureing to day.

Josie and I commenced to wash. Josie got sick and had to quit. I finished. They got dry. Josie ironed some this evening.

Johnson Reynolds passed here this evening at work on the phone line.

A good day. Jim and Ben plowed most of the day. Josie sowed. Made the baby some under bodies. I potered a round until dinner. Then I went with Carrie and the children to Gretna. Reese drove the car. We had a good trip. Bought a few things. Miss Carter come in a few minutes. Eula Mayhew come in a while. Mr Owen hauled a load of corn this morning. Ben has bin playing the musick box to night. I enjoy hearing it.

A good day. Ben hauled some this morning. Mr Young the light man come this morning. Jim come with him. Jim plowed the garden. Ben helped Young fix up the lights. He finished here this evening. Josie got dinner.

Josies turkey eggs hatched today. I hived a swarm of bees this morning and then they went a way.

I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. I have bin mending Jims shirt to night.

A good day. Ben hauled wood all day. Jim fired tobacco. Josie and I went to pick peas this morning. Mabel was not satisfied so Josie had to quit and bring Mabel home.

I staid until dinner and picked what I could. Josie picked some this evening. I went to George Blairs. Nettie Hendrickes was there. Miss Alice Hubbard and Ada Hutcherson come a while.

School at Renan commenced to day. I do hope that we can have a good school this time. Ben has gone possum hunting to night.

A good day. Jim worked on the land that they want to sow in grain. Ben hauled some wood this morning.

This evening Ben & Josie and Mabel went to Gretna. They got books for the children and cloth to make them clothes. Josie ironed all the morning. I have bin at home all day today. This evening Carrie and the little girls come down here and staid a little while. I was glad that they come. We need rain a gain very bad.

Ben & Marvin has gone huntting.
