Thursday, February 16, 1922
Snowed again last night and have not thawed but very little allday. Today it is a very bad time. Ben & Josie milked today. I am not going out much. We dressed two chickens today and cooked one. Henry went to school the weather was two bad for Edna. Franklin & Mabel has bad colds. I think Jim feels better than he did yesterday. I know I hope he does. I am sorry for myself and every boddy esle [crossed out] else. I want to hear from all of my children and grand children. Do hope that the weather will get good.
Friday, February 17, 1922
A colde day. Partly cloudy. The ice did not melt but very little to day. Ben & Jim sawed up the weeping willow. Today the weather is so bad that they cant do much. Ben made some foot stools. Walker Haris [(Col)?coloured man] brought the chairs that he had to put bottoms in and a basket good but rough. Henry went to school. Franklin was croupy last night. I think he is better though. I had a letter from Carrie today. They are all a bout but not well.
Tuesday, February 21, 1922
A cloudy day but no rain. Ben & Jim helped Johnson on the phone line. They eat with Johnson. Josie got dinner here. Edna ironed a little. I have set by the fire all day. I have a bad cold. Mrs Hutcherson & Denia Blair come this evening. The come on a buggy. I was glad that they come. I had bin wanting to see some of our folks so long.
Today 57 years ago I was married. Henry went to school. Tonight he has gone to Norman Booker. Two of Less Bookers children is there.
Wednesday, February 22, 1922
A good day. The best that has bin this year. Ben & Jim worked on the phone line a gain today. Henry and Edna went to school. Josie got dinner. I have helped a round some today. Hattie & Elic washed here today. George Blair Jr. come here this morning for his mothers over shoes. Carrie & her children except Paul come a few minutes We were glad to see them. The baby has fattened up and is so pretty. I miss them more than i can tell. I do hope that the roads may get good soon. The boys have some tobacco to market yet.

A warm cloudy windy day. Jim Helped on the phone line. Ben shucked some corn & worked to get the wire from Owens garden. Josie washed some. Did not hang out her clothe. I ironed some. Churned and fixed up the butter. Henry & Edna went to school. A car passed here today. The first one in some time.
