Enlisted Sunday 3rd June 1917. Entered Show Ground Camp Thursday 12th July. Drafted to Liverpool Tuesday 17th July. Sent on Final Leave Tuesday night 24th July till Friday 27th. Had "send off" on Friday before going back to camp. 1st August put on sailing list & given Reg. no. 3650. 2nd. 2nd Aug. Fall in at 2 a.m. Leave Liverpool 4 a.m. Met [Dos?] Flo. Pearl & [McWaters?]. Marched down to Wooll oomoo Bay & said good-bye. Stepped aboard transport
