Dear Mary, check my return address - not B7056 - B7056 not Landguthburg but Landgut Burg. Thanks for the letter. It's a pretty weird letter (did you read it) What's your roommate like now that you've been there a while? Did you get my papers. Also could you ask the secretary in the German dept. (ground floor of 250 or something, back and to the right for my test from Lohnes's Conversation Class. Thanks. You don't have to. I don't understand what you have against dorms. [I?] really like them. By the way, you can tell Kathy to [new?] it! I think she would like that. Elaborate on [your?] classes on each one (you don't really have to tell Kathy that).
Oh, remember Daryl Wood. Jeez Louise. You should see [her?] She's very cute and just has the duckywuckyest attitude a fine young lady could have. Ooooo....everything [is?] soooo exciting with her. I mean literally everything. [God?] it makes my stomach kind of sick, you know? Anyway she didn't remember me.
Here I am absorbing the culture (D.Wood saying) [and?] we here are all high on life. Wow, it's really [groovy?]. God damn* Daryl Wood. She is social chairman and gave this speech about we can go off and travel and stuff on weekends, but for a "full experience" we should get to know our group and stay around and have "really fun" open houses and dancing and oh just whatever anyone can think of. Well as you can imagine, all of us wanted a full experience so theh social dues are $10. Sheeet!** Another year of paying for everyone else's liquor. Oh we are also getting T-shirts made for everyone so we can feel more like a group. Wow. Far-out.
The family here I and Bob Cullen go to is really great. Mr. Krauter is funny and Mrs. makes great dessert stuff and super nice. My Deutsch should bet better. I can communicate OK but jeez I sure

get screwed up. Bob (Amy's boyfriend) speaks better than I. The weather has been horrible. Wery foggy and cloudy and super cold. Now it's not as cold and drizzling. No snow. Bob Cullen, Bruce ([Worm?]), and Skip and me went to Munich last weekend. I drank my first full glass of beer - 1+ liter. Boy was I smashed. Not really. I don't think I was drunk at all. I was very tired (it was pretty late)and in a good mood. It was a lot of fun there. This weekend I'm hitchhiking to Zurich with Bob Cullen. Don't tell Mom. I will tell her when I get back. Sounds funny to describe week-end trips to all over the place. Anyway if you want to hear more call Mom and have her read the letters. I wouldn't care if I were you. Having a swell time in general.
