11: Moderate and light N. W. to East wind these 24 hours with clear fair and cool weather during 24 hours - Sea very smooth - Keeper went to Newport - 1st asst & Mr. Smith working in garden.

12: Fresh to moderate breeze East to S. East these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours fair weather - Last part of 24 hours rain - Sea very smooth - General duties for day - Keeper went fishing

13: Moderate and wind East to S. E. and South these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours thick weather and light rain showers - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day. Steamer George Chance crossed the bar - Mr. Isaac L. Smith went to Newport for recreation. Left at 10 A.M.

14: Light S. East wind first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light variable winds fair weather during these 24 hours - Sea smooth - Keeper planting garden - 1st asst showing visitors in tower Had 4 visitors Today - Steamer Chance sailed today - Mr. Isaac L. Smith returned to the station at 1:00 am.

16: Light S. to S. East wind with fog showers first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind fair weather - Sea smooth - 1st asst went fishing - Keeper & Mr. I. L. Smith planting garden.

17: Light N.W. to S. East wind fair weather first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light to moderate & fresh breeze S. E. to S. rain - Sea smooth - Keeper & Mr. I. L. Smith planting garden. - Also went fishing today.

18: Light S. East wind and fair weather first part of 24 hours - last part of 24 hours fog showers - Sea smooth - General duties for day - Mr. Smith spading in garden - Keeper went to Newport on bussiness - Left the station at 9 A.M. - 1st asst also went to Newport.

19: Fresh to moderate breeze S.W. to West and N. West these 24 hours - Rain & fog showers most of 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for day - Keeper returned to the station at 1.P.M.

20: Moderate to fresh breeze South with fog and light rain showers - during 24 hours sea little rough - General duties for the day - The barometer is going down a little.

14: 1st asst Mr. Edward Rice went to Newport to attend Grand Army meeting. Left the station at 1.P.M.

15: Moderate breeze South these 24 hours with rain showers. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. 1st Asst returned to the station at 10.A.M. Keeper went to Newport on important business. Left the station at 10.A.M.

16: Fresh to moderate breeze N.W. first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds light rain showers during 24 hours. Sea moderately smooth. General duties for day. Had 4 visitors- Keeper returned to the station at 1.P.M.

17: Light variable winds first part of 24 hours last part of 24 hours light N. West to North wind first part clear & cool last part of 24 hours a little cloudy but dry. Sea smooth. Steamer Willappa sailed from Yaquina to Coos Bay today. General duties for day.

18: Light N. to East wind first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind fair weather during 24 hours. Sea smooth. Keepers cleaning illuminating apparatus today. 2nd Asst went to Newport after mail.

19: Light S. East to N.W. wind these 24 hours first part of 24 hours light rain showers. Last part of 24 hours fair weather. Sea smooth. Keepers scrubbing hall and Oil room floors. 1st Asst went to Newport today.

20: Fresh and moderate breeze East first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds, fair weather during 24 hours. Sea Smooth. Keepers went fishing. Keeper cleaning paint work in lantern. 1st Asst went to Newport after mail.

21: Light S.E. to East wind these 24 hours with clear fine weather during 24 hours. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. Keeper went to Newport after mail.

22: Strong breeze to light Gale East these 24 hours with clear fine weather during 24 hours. Sea quite smooth. General duties for the day. Keeper went to Newport after mail.

23: Fresh breeze East to South these 24 hours with clear fine weather during 24 hours. Sea little rough. 1st Asst went fishing. Keeper and 2nd Asst went up North beach to try and fish for trout.

24: Moderate breeze S. East these 24 hours with fair weather during 24 hours. Sea moderately smooth. General duties for day. Keeper went over and cleared logs from the roaid so that the team could go to Newport. 2nd Asst went to Newport.

25: Strong breeze East first part of 24 hours, cloudy but dry. Last part of 24 hours fresh breeze to a gale. S.E. to South, light rain shower. Sea rough. Barometer down to 29.55 Keeper putting wood in 2nd Asst cellar today.

26: Light South wind with light rain showers first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds, cloudy but dry. Sea very rough. General duties for the day. 2nd Asst went to Newport after the mail.

27: Moderate breeze to light S.W. to South wind these 24 hours with rain showers. Sea rough. General duties for the day.

28: Strong to fresh breeze South these 24 hours and rain most of the time. Sea rough. General duties for the day. Keeper returned to the station at 1.30 P.M.

29: Fresh to strong breeze South to S.W. first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light S.W. to West wind with rain most of 24 hours. Sea very rough. General duties for the day. 1st Asst went to Newport after the mail. Steamer George Chance started to cross into Yaquina don't know wheather she got in safe or not - too thick to see from the light.

30: Light N.W. to East and S. East winds these 24 hours with clear fine and cool weather during the 24 hours. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. 2nd Asst Isaac L. Smith went to Newport today.

31: Moderate breeze and light west to W. N. West these 24 hours with frequent rain showers most of the time - Sea very rough - General duties for the day. Keeper sawing wood - The barometer is up to 30.30 at 3.P.M.

November

1: Light variable winds first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind - First part cloudy but dry - Last part clear fine weather - Sea quite smooth - General duties for day - Keeper went to Newport on business - 1st asst went fishing today.

2: Light N. West wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours little cloudy - Last part of 24 hours clear fine weather. Sea very smooth - General duties for day - Keeper putting stove pipe in bedroom & went fishing - 1st asst went fishing & to Newport - 2nd asst also went fishing.

3: Light N. West wind these 24 hours - with clear fine & warm weather - Sea smooth - General duties for day - Keeper went fishing today.

4: Light variable winds & calm these 24 hours first part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Last part of 24 hours thick fog most of the time - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper and 1st asst sawing wood. The barometer is down to 30.5 at 2 P.M. - 2nd asst went to Newport today - Left the station at 1.30 P.M.

5: Moderate breeze S. to N. W. with rain during first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind with little cloudy but mostly fair weather - Sea moderately smooth - General duties for the day - Steamer Willamett Valley - arrived from San Francisco. Keeper sawing wood - 1st ass't wheeling cabbage from garden to the barn - 2nd asst, Isaac L. Smith arrived at the station at 3 P.M. Had 3 visitors today.

6: Light N. West wind these 24 hours with fair weather during 24 hours - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - 1st asst went fishing today - Had 3 visitors today - The barometer is down to 30.20 at 3.P.M.

7: Light N. W. to variable winds and calm these 24 hours little cloudy but fair weather - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Steamer Willamett Valley sailed for San Francisco today. Keeper sawing wood - 1st asst went fishing today.

8: Light S. E. to East & North wind these 24 hours first part of 24 hours little damp - Last part of 24 hours cloudy but dry. Sea smooth - Steamer George Chance arrived from the South - General duties for the day - Keepers went to Newport to vote today.

9: Light N. to E. & S. East wind these 24 hours with cloudy but dry first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light rain showers - Sea smooth - Keeper went over on the beach after wood. Keeper and 1st asst went fishing - 2nd asst & Keeper fixing a place to keep China Pheasants.

10: Light South wind with rain first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours thick damp fog - Sea quite rough - General duties for day - 1st asst went fishing and taking covers off of coal oil cases - Keeper and 2nd asst went to Newport on important business.

11: Light N.West wind first part of 24 hours with thick damp fog - Last part of 24 hours moderate to fresh breeze South with rain. Sea little rough - Keepers putting 200 Gallons of Mineral Oil in Oil room - 1st asst went hunting Geese - The barometer was down to 30.

12: Moderate & fresh breeze W. with frequent rain & hail squalls first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind clear fine weather - Sea quite rough - General duties for the day - 2nd asst went to Newport to see if his Uniform had come - 1st ass't packing up wood off the beach - Keeper went to Newport after supplies - Left the station at 9.30 A.M.

13: Light N. West to East wind with clear fine and cool weather first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light to moderate and fresh breeze South with fair weather - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day. Barometer down to 30. at 1 P.M. - Keeper returned to the Station at 1.30 P.M.
