DECEMBER 1943

5 SUNDAY
Went to Sunday School in
morning and taught primary. 5 away
with measles. Went to Sunday School in
afternoon. Olive is now living at Grandma's
Did homework in evening.

6 MONDAY
Foggy all day. Missed Had some
very hard trig homework and spent four lessons
trying to do it. Had some easy French
homework. Taffy and Sergt. Hemsley came
in evening. We played games and sang.

7 TUESDAY
Made some queer shortbread
biscuits in cookery which were very
nice. 3d Had two singing practises.
and quite a nice Geography lesson
did homework all the evening.

8 WEDNESDAY
Mummy went to Aldreth for the day
and brought back some gooseberry and current
cuttings. Had a History test. Received a
lovely long letter from George. He has
started ops again. The hens started to lay

9 Thursday
Kitty Hadders Funeral Very foggy
day. Betty's birthday. We sent her a
card. Had pirates in gym. Had one singing
practise. Listened to Itmar and played
some duets with Daddy in evening.

10 FRIDAY
Fog cleared but still very cold.
Had a massed singing rehersal first lesson
Got on all right in needlework, but found
I had done one sleeve all wrong so had to
undo it. Played hockey in afternoon.

11 SATURDAY
Helped Mummy all the morning
and made a batch of biscuits. Had a
bath in afternoon and did some homework
Clarence came to tea and supper. He is
now at Witchford.
