JUNE 1943

13 SUNDAY
Went to Sunday school in morning
and taught Primary. Went to Sunday
School in afternoon and afterwards
went to walk with Roger. Had 4 RAF
boys in to supper.

14 MONDAY
Picked strawberries in morning and went
on tractor with Norman. Had big dinner
wash up. Went to see Joy's baby. The Smiths
went home in the evening.

15 TUESDAY
Very showery weather. Helped
mummy in morning. Had rest in afternoon
Walter came to tea. Went out on
tractor in evening.

16 WEDNESDAY
Went back to school. Did
house-wifery instead of cookery. Had an
interesting lecture by American lady on
America.

17 THURSDAY*
Rather cold day. Did not go swimming.
Went and fetched my new dress after
school. An airman Clarance came in
for evening. Mowed lawn and drove tractor.

18 FRIDAY
A gang of Italians came to chop out
our beet. Very miserable day. Rained from
12 o'clock onwards. Had to borrow a
mac to go to Acher House.

19 SATURDAY
Helped Mummy all day. Did some
washing and ironing. Sold strawberries
all day long. Walter came up in evening.
