February 2nd Month 1945

25 Sun-2nd in Lent
Cold windy day. Went to S. School in
morning and took Primary with help of
Janet & Padre. Mummy in bed all day
with bad throat. Wrote letters in afternoon
and evening to Deny's and Peggy. Geo Phang
went to Chapel with Daddy & Janet Bill came in

*26 Mon Very windy day. Stayed at
Home to look after Mummy. Was doing
housework nearly all day. Did a
little washing. Bill kept popping in
at various times. Ted & Gordon also
came in. Batty came in in the
evening. Read Rebecca

27 Tues-O Full Moon 12.7 a.m.
Very windy day. Mummy in bed until
teatime. Did all the washing
on my own except for a little
help from Bill, who came in several
times. got changed at 4 o'clock. Read
Rebecca in evening.

28 Wed
Lovely day. Did all the
ironing in the morning. Bill came
in for a little while. Finished work
at about four o'clock. Took Kim for a
long walk. Read Rebecca. Went to
bed early
