Journal of A Whaling Voyage Commencing Nov 1th 1833. Commences with fine weather middle & latter part much the same Stearing by the wind to the E under all Sail Imployed in picking over our potatoes Setting up irons &C so ends all well Lat by Obs 32 47 Long by Cron 6 38

Saturday 2 Commences with fine weather calm sale in site ster ing E the later part the wind brees this morning we [wash?] of our deck that we havent done in some time blow 2 points aft the beem whost he is not oure bisness is not worth mentioning so ends all as youfoil Lat by 33-05 Long by Crom 7-00

Sunday 3 Commences with fresh wind blow hard and chast we [haent blow?] we [wost?] loft Stearing West by N nothing more in site but 2 fin backs the later part wore ship stearing E S east this day I wish I was at home so ends all home sick Lat 33 30 by Long by Cron 8-48

Monday 4 Begins with fresh gales from west S West this morning set our topsails Double reafed at 10 A M furled them at 1 P M set them Double reafd this day spoke the Maryland from harver with 3 whales and the heroine from fair haven with 13 whales She reports the American from Sagharbor with 8 whales wore ship and and stood the Eastward Tuesday 5 Fine weather blow loard and chast and chast out site of the ship board agen about 6 P M and got very neare but it grew dark very fast if it hadent been so late i beleve we should got one of them
