Loard [LOWERED] and chaist [CHASED] but without success. Going fast to the windward. Nothing more worth of remark. Latter light winds from the South. Steering to the East. Saw whales. Loward [LOWERED] and struck one and killed him. Cut him in. Nothing more worth of remark.
