some whales but very wild.
Spoke the South America of
Nantucket and Victory of New
Bedford. Sunk one whale.

Commencesrugged. Saw whales.
Lowered the boats but could
not strike. Came on board and took
in sail. So ends this day.

This day commences rugged. Latter
part more moderate. Saw whales.
Chased. No succes. So ends.

Sunday December 11th 1825

All these 24 hours rugged
weather. Saw a plenty of whales.
Chased but could not strike.

Monday Dec 12th 1825

Commences moderate. Struck
2 whales and lost them both.
Latter part calm and foggy.
