Monday April 10 1826

First part fesh gales from S West. Latter part light winds and pleasant from SW to NN West. Stear N [West?] with all sail set. Saw a few whales. Chase no success. Employed in [???]

Tuesday April 11th 1826

These 24 hours light winds from the southward and Westward. Take in sail at night. Make it in the morning and stear to the Southward N [bottom?]. Saw a few whales got nothing. Saw one ship.

Wednesday April 12th 1826

These 24 hours light winds and pleasant from the NW to N East Spoke the schooner Washington of Boston from [???] bound to the Falkland Islands. A [sealing?] sold him a boat and let him have 2 men. Cut in one whale. Spoke the Enterprise of Houvre de Grace Gardner wanting one whale.

Thirsday April 13th 1826

These 24 hours heavy ga[les] from East to SS West. At 9 AM sound 48 fathoms water. Set the foresail and double refed [reefed] main top sail and stear N East for home.

These 24 hours heavy gales from SS W to S West and rain. Stear N E by North and N East.

Saturday April 15th 1826

First part heavy gales and squals for rain from SS Wes[t]. Latter part more moderate. Got [???] sail on her set a fore top mast studing [studding] sail. Employed in trying. Stear N.

Sunday April 16th 1826

These 24 hours fresh winds and a heavy from the southward. Stear N East. Finished trying and went to bending new sails. So ends this day.

Monday April 17th 1826

These 24 hours light winds and calm from the southward. Stear N East and N E by south. Employed in stowing down oil and drawing up [betwixt?] decks.
