First part all hands Employed in
mending a main Top Sail at 4 PM
raised two whales lored [lowered] our boats
struck & killed one and cutt him in
So Ends all well Lat [Latitude]Obs 38:20
Long [Longitude] 1:40 East
Tuesday the 24th
Through out this day light breezes
Ship under all sail [cruising?] for
whales but found none at 2 PM
spoke with the Neptune Parker
of Sag Harbor with 1100 brls [barrels] do the
[Albion?] of Fair Haven with 10 whales
latter part thick fog Steer W S W
the Neptune in company at sun
set furled Top Gallant Sails & steered
on Employed in boiling so remains

Wednesday the 25 th
Thee [the] day began with light winds & thick
Fog steered W by N the wind NNE
at 10 oçlock clear weather saw several
whales &chased but wihout success
latter part Gain with the Neptune
at sun set finished boiling Furled
Top Sails & lay by the Neptune
in company So goes Lat [Latitude] 38:33
Long [Longitude] 0:50 Miles W
