Commenced with a light breeze at W
that contnued through out the day.
At 6 AM set all sail and steered to
the N ward. Saw two merchant ships
steering SE. At 10 oclok finished
boiling and stowed down 75 brls.
No whales. At sun set squared our
yards and steered off ESE. Carry
all sail. Nothing more ocurred. So
goes all well. Lat obsd 36:58
Long 2,15 W

Saturday the 8th
Began with light westerly breezes that
lasted through out the ship under sail.
Steering E by Sth. Saw sevarel fin backs
but no whales. At sun set set a
fore top mast steering sail. Stand
hole watches through the knight.
Nothing more occured. So remains.
Lat obsd 36;46 Longitude 00 30 west

Sunday the 9th
All these 24 hours fresh breezes
a bout Sth W. Ship under all
sail. Steering E by S. Saw sevarel
fin backs and hump backs in course
of the day but no whales. At sun set set a fore top mast
steering sail and stand sea watches.
So goes all well. Lat obsd 36:50
