Thursday the 13th November 1834
Began with fresh winds from the SW
that lasted through out the day. Saw two
whales and chased hard but found them
shy. Better part stowed down 60 brls in
the fore hatch. So goes. Sat obsd 34:54
Long 5-22 East

Friday the 14th
Light airs from the SSW through out the
day. At sun rise made all possible
sail and steered to the SE ward by
the wind. At 11 AM raised a whale
which we struck and drew from. Latter
part gam with the Connecticut. So
remains. Sat obsd 34:50
Long 6:00 East

Saturday the 15th
Began with light wind from theNW
at daylight in the morning. Set all
possible sail and steered to the SW.
At 11 oclok AM raised whales.
Chased hard but without striking.
Saw the Connecticut sunk a whale.
Latter part to rough to whale.
Steer S W by the wind under
top sails and [bourses?] the Connecticut
in company. At sun set furled
top sails. Nothing more occured.
Lat by obs was 35:12 Long 6:03
