Remarks Onboard Bark Nimrod of Sag Habor, & A Journal of our voyage Commencing July the 4, 1851 James M. Greene Master..

Friday, July 4..1851.. These 24 hours commence with plesant wether from the North. West. at 9 A.M. got under way and went to sea at 4 P.M. past Montauk barring W..N..W Distance 6 miles from which I take my departure Ship Steering S.S. East so ends these 24 hours.

Throughout these 24 hours light from the North Ship Steering E By South at 8 A.M. Saw a. School of Sperm whales loard and got 4 of them small ones.
