Includes Ballad "Burning of Schenectady," by Walter Wilie, relating horrors of French and Indian War, written on pp.'s 54-56; last pages, pp. 233-240, contain: poetry; separation notice of Erastus Barnes and Rebecca Conklin (by mutual consent), November 5, 1852, with signatures of said parties and other family members, with expressed desire for separation to be published in unnamed newspaper; poem "On Opening a House of Worship;" final page contains account of crew violence and corresponding punishment onboard the bark Timor.
