First and mid part good breeze from E. all
sail set steering by the wind. ship heading SSE.
Latter part blowing fresh. took in fr gt sail.

Saturday Dec 24th

First part fresh winds from ENE. all sail set.
steering SE. Mid part strong winds from E and
raining. took in light sails. by the wind on Larboard
tack. one sail in sight bound the same way. Latter part
doublereefed the topsails. took in jib and spanker.

Sunday Dec 25th

First part blowing strong from Eastward.
took in sail to clostreefed maintopsail
main spencer and foretopmast staysail.
raining and a heavy sea runing. Mid
part rather more moderate. wind hauled
to Northward. made sail. steering SE.
Latter part raining and blowing fresh. so ends.

Monday Dec 26th

First part blowing fresh from NNW and raining.
took in mainroyal. at 8 AM moderated a little. set
stunsails below and aloft. at 4 PM blowing strong.
took in stunsails. doublereefed fore topsail and took
in mainsail. wind NW. Latter part took in the bow
boat and put it on the house. strong winds. took in
main royal. steering SE by E 1/2 E. so ends this day.
