Begins with light winds from N. Mid part went on board the Antelope to the Theatre. Latter part wind and weather much the same. Thermometer standing at 30 below.
Saturday Dec [DECEMBER] 24th
Begins with light winds from N. Mid and latter part[S] wind and weather much the same. Thermometer standing at 36 below.
Sunday Dec [DECEMBER] 25th
Begins with light airs from NW. Mid part went on board the Antelope to a Christmas ball. Had a very pleasant time. Latter part Mr Millard Mr Chipmans and myself went to Depot Island for a Christmas walk. Distance about two miles. Thermometer standing at 36 below.
Monday Dec [DECEMBER] 26th
Begins with light airs and fine weather from NW. Mid and latter part[S] much the same. This morning the natives took there [THEIR] departure South. Thermometer standing at 31 below.
Tuesday Dec [DECEMBER] 27th
Begins with light airs and fine weather from NW. Latter part weather much the same. Imployed [EMPLOYED] in sleding [SLEDDING] ice from the shore to the ship. Thermometer standing at 32 below.
Wednesday Dec [DECEMBER] 28th
Begins with light airs from N. Imployed [EMPLOYED] in sledding ice from the shore to the ship. Latter part wind and weather much the same. Thermometer standing at 34 below.
