from the ESE Steering E.S.E. Middle part moderates
a little made some Sail lift up SE by S Latter part Squally
at 9 AM Lost the Labbard quater Boat a Sea Broke
in to her an Broke her in too. lost the oars, Sail, &
Craft So ends Bad Weather.

Remarks on Board Wednesday August 30th
Begins with fresh gales from the West With fiting Clouds
and Squalls of rain employed in fiting Another Boat and
Craft Middle part squally took in light sail and
Clued Down the topsail Bad looking Weather from West S.W.
Stering E " South Latter part more pleasant set
top gallant Sails again finished the Boat at 10 AM
lift to and put her on the Cranes. Nothing more Worth
of remark.

Remarks on Board Thursday August 31th
Commences with fresh gales from the S.S.W. Steering
E. by S. Employed in fiting Boats baiting Spades
head Axe and Chaifs on the rigging Middle Part
The Wind halls to SW Latter Part more pleasant
at 7 AM Called all hands for a Whale Loward
away out Boats and pulled up to it Proved
to be a large Log. Went on Bord and filled away on
our course In hopes of Seeing a Beter Whale "
