with a smooth sea light breezes from the SSW heading
W by the wind middle part calm latter par
t fine and pleasant at 7AM took a light breeze
NNE steerd S by W employed in grind iarns and
dooing for the voyage saw brig standing to the SE
saw a shoal of black fish did not lowar the boats
saw nothing more worth of remark

These 24 hours begins with fine and pleasant
weather with light breezes from NNE steering S by E
middle part the wind increases latter part
set up the main stay and put cleets on the
foar mast for the stays to lead through saw a num
ber of small breaches proved to be jumpers.

Remarks on board Sep. Saturday 30th 1837
First part pleasant with light breezes from E &
ESE middle part squally and thunder and lightn
ing sharpe and heavy latter part more settld
employed in stoping chains on the rigging
saw two brigs standing to the SW nothing
more worth of remark

Longitude by Ch 25"15 West
So ends September with one whale Sperm
in barels.
