Remarks on board Saturday, November 4th 1837
The first part of the 24 hours strong gales from the
NNW Steering SE at night took in sail heading SW
latter part rugged at sunrise set topsail at 7AM saw
4 Right Whales loward and chaist could not get hold
saw 3 ships all whailing whales wild gowing to

Remarks on board Sunday, Nov 5th 1837
This day begins with strong gales and ruged weather
from WNW at 7AM spoke ship Commillas of Sag
Harbour with fore whales 2 small Sperm 2 Right saw
2 Right Whales chaist them hard coud not catch
them midd part thick and rainy short sail latter
part set doble reefts at 9AM saw whales to
rugged to lowar our boats.

WSW heading South lying to short sail saw whales

Remarks on board Tuesday, 7th 1837
The first part of these 24 hours strong gales from SW
heading NNW at 8AM set double reefts at 11AM saw
whales loward 2 boats got one at 12AM took him along si
de cut him in took in topsails and started the fiars
saw one sail
