Latter fresh breezes from the west and pleasant

coiled them betwixt Decks

Commenced with fresh breezes from the SW and
pleasant steering SE at 4 P.M. [spoke?] Bark ship
Monmouth of Cold Spring D. Smith master outward
bound. Middle Hours Squally attended with Thunder
Lightening & Rain
Latter Hours the Wind [Hauled?] Suddenly to the
northward and clear ship Washington S. Monmouth
in company. Hands employed in fitting Boats.
