Cook commanded by Captain Mercator Cooper. Pages 187-189 contain sketches of sails. Account contains sketches of icebergs off the Falkland Islands.

Notes: There is a gap in the numbering in this whaling log between pages 109 and 120. There are no pages numbered 110 through 119 in the Long Island Collection, and it is not clear if these pages were retained separately or if there was an error in the numbering. This journal was kept by at least two different authors. There are other accounts of other voyages for a ship named the Phenix, including another Phenix from Sag Harbor with a different crew, which the Long Island Collection has also digitized. These materials are not from the same voyage.
