11 o clock made sail again. So ends this day.

Monday Jan 27
This day had a strong wind. The ship was on the wind.
The larboard watch employd in mending sail we took
in. The fore top gallant sail and mizen topsail in. At night
single the fore and main top sail. So ends.

Tuesday Jan 28
This day had a light breeze. Made all sail again. Raise
a school of black fish but we did not go after them.
The watches employd in mending sails. So ends this day.

Wenesday Jan 29
This day had a light breeze. Steering WNW.
Watches employed in mending sail and the
carpenter was getting the boats on the scafold
ready for whaleing. So ends.

Thursday Jan 30
This day had a calm. The watches employd in working
on the rigging and painting the boats and
sendding up the fore top gallant studding sail
boom. So ends this day.
