Thursday March 11 th
Light wind and heavy rain.

First part calm. latter part hevy rain strong wind from W
Saturday March 13th
Strong wind from the W with showers of rain.
Sunday March 14th
First part strong wind from SW later part light wind
from the S with rain. Lat 157.14 S Lon 164.05 W
Monday March 15th
Conmences with strong squally wind from the North. at 3 PM
split the jib unbent it at 4 PM hauled up Courses in fore
and mizzen Topsails and lay by the wind
Tuesday March 16th
Comes with a heavy gale of wind blowing tremendously
in squalls and heavy rain ship laying to under close reefed
Main Topsail and stay sail. it blows so hard that the sea
birds would alighton the rigging and spars and deck they were
so tired we could take hold of them before they would move
carried away waist boart Davit and stove the boat.
Wednesday March 17
More moderate but an awful sea on, found sudden head
verry baldly sprung. kept off for Tahita [TAHITI] to get a new Rudder

Friday March 19th
A fine breze from the W with some rain Lat 15.31 S Lon 160.51 W
Saturday March 20th
Had light squally wind with heavy showers of rain.
Sunday March 21st
Light air and calm with pleasant weather Lat 15.46 S Lon 159.29
Monday March 22and
Calm. at work on the rigging Lat 15.25 S Lon 159.04 W
