[begin square box, upper lefthand corner] Wid. Ctf. #97064, Mary Bray, wid., Houston Bary, C, 82nd U.S.C. Inf.

Wid. Orig #959501, Eliza B. Dorsey, alleged former widow, CONTESTING. [end left corner box]

3/28/11. Respectfully referred to Chief, L A W D I V I S I O N with a view to passing upon the ques= tion of legal widowhood under provisions of Order 33, section 8, attention being invited to the record evidence and testimony on file in the admitted claim of Mary Bray, now dec'd. There is not a sufficient showing of criminal features to warrant the expense incident to special examination, and if special examination is deemed necessary to the proper determination of legal widowhood it is suggested that instructions issue from the Marriage & Divorce Desk as to what is required. No further action is necessary in this section. [signed] [F E?] Potts Chief of Criminal Section.
