Sir:
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt from your Office
of application for Pension No. 62.569, and to return it
herewith, with such information as is furnished by the files of this
Office.
It appears from the Rolls on file in this Office, that
James Green was enrolled on the 9th
day of August, 1862, at Hastings N. Y. in Co. D,
110th Regiment of New York Volunteers, to
serve Three years, or during the war, and mustered into
services as a Private on the 25th day of August,
1862, at Oswego N. Y., in Co. D, 110th
Regiment of New York Volunteers, to serve 3
years, or during the war. On the Muster Roll of Co. D
of that Regiment, for the months of March and April,
1864, he is reported "died in Regimental Hospital Mar. 20th 1864.
Cause of death not stated.
