mental feebleness, and to the dominions of ot premature decay and death, than to the white ranks. My cheif warrant for this last ascertion is the result of my own eyes, long and constantly observent still, I think, it is suffciently booked up by admitted phycologi eat facts that it mood fear no costradletion. By the way, will some one hand me over one or two of those letter day paperb-- "Heads of the Colored People," by friend Communipaw. I would like to bare one of them, especially one for inepestion just now. Tears of deep heartfelt sorrow for tho long absenses or final exit--I know not which--of goood old friend Communipaw, are now streaming down my face. I and consolation also od Oboarrer and Vdriteo, Coempollte and Spectator: of home Marie, and Penny Homewood, of the dear Aliened, and Oooator, and all the lesser sattelite who once revolved so brightly there. Also my dear Douglass, where are they? whithor are they gone? When I remember all The friends so linked together, I've soon them round me tell Like leaves in wintry weather, I feel like one Who treads alone Some banqout-hall deserted, Whose lights are fled, Whose garlands are dead, And all but he departed!
