My dear Friend, Here I am again at my old home for a few days. Our beloved friend Mrs Rawson who returned from Italy alone some weeks ago kindly invited me to come and to see her. You have no doubt received my letter written in May in which I announced to you the death of dear Lizzie. Oh! it is dreadful to see how sorrow has changed dear Mrs Rawson! She goes about like a shadow And yet, she does not forget the sorrows of others. She is always the same unselfish and sympathizing friends. You may easily imagine how I feel here. Everything is so changed
