Frederick Douglass would most respectfully and gratefully acknowledge the esteemed favour of Honorable Mrs Edward Cropper, dated January 8. and begs to state that the parcel intended for Mrs Frederick Douglass—by the kindness of Mrs Cropper, may be forwarded directly from Liverpool per Express addressed Frederick Douglass, Rochester N.Y. U.S.

Frederick Douglass would also imbrace the occasion to express his sincere and heartfelt thanks to Honorable Mrs Cropper for the lively interest which she has been pleased to take in the Cause of his enslaved people. He remembers, that in the great Philanthrophic movement, which placed England in the van of Civilization, the Honored name of Cropper was nobly prominent.
