Hon: William H. Seward:

My dear Sir: The enclosed came to me this morning in a letter from my friend Mrs. Dr. Crofts, Halifax England, with the request that I should forward it to you. Mrs Crofts formerly lived in Rochester and was conspicuous for her zeal and activity in the Anti Slavery Cause. I take pleasure in complying with her request, that I send the enclosed to you.
