Letter from Geo. W. Goines.

FREDERICK DOUGLASS—DEAR SIR.—We in Pennsylvania have made up our minds to attempt a revival among us for our Right of Franchise. We held our first meeting last evening at the masonic Hall and although our meeting was not so very large, yet there was a very good feeling manifested on the occasion. After the usual preliminarys a Preamble and Resolutions was adopted and an Executive committee consisting of fifteen was appointed to carry out the agitation in the way of Petitions, Signers, &c.

I would be glad to see a general feeling all over the State, upon this Subject.

Respectfully yours,

GEO. W. GOINES.

Philadelphia Jan. 1, 1858.
