My Dear Father
Miss Adams has just sent me another Express and a scrap from The Democrat with a very flattering notice of Lewis and his intentions which was very pleasing to me to see him so well spoken of. But I expected him to come and see me if he could before leaving and if he has not gone I should like him to be sure and come. I am boarding with Mr Joseph Gibbs if he enquires on the boat for that person he will easily find me. I do not know at what wharf the Major Reybold leaves Philadelphia I think it is Arch St. Wharf. I write this hurriedly

for I am anxious for Lewis to come. It want to be here. As I do not know when this little article was written it might have been before Lewis was certain of going at all events I was flurried when I read it, I wrote and mailed a letter last friday I think giving you all the news that I could of my self.
My love to Mother Lewis Frederick & Charles.
Your affectionate Daughter,
Rosetta D.
