Minutes of Meeting October 4th.
The President opened the
meeting by reading for the seventh
chapter of Mark; followed by volun-
tary prayer. Each one present, then
repeated a verse from the Scriptures
appropriate to the occasion.
The Secretary's report was accept-
ed as read.
The Treasurer's report showed
that $14.00 had been paid in, as
membership dues. That $8.00 had
been used to defray the cost of Record
Book, stationery, postal cards and postage
stamps; and $3.00 was handed to
the Sec'y to pay bill for advertising
Property Rights Bill in Truth - in
July last. Leaving a balance of $7.00
in the Treasury.
Methods for increasing the
funds of the Asso. were discussed, and
it was resolved that more earnest
efforts must be made for increasing
its membership.
The Sec'y was instructed to
write to Miss Clay and ascertain what
bills, if any, she held against the Louis-
ville Asso.
Mrs Johnson read a letter from
Mrs Henry telling of her legislative
work, and of the demand there had
been for the Pamphlet - Married Woman's
Property Rights.
