The other case was one treated by Dr. Love -- He saved an ovapassage which I decanted off and found about a hundred worms. He said that he had passed several and that they all contained ovanum and that they were still coming from him. Examined two specimens -- both neg. adults

Jan 13 - Spent today investigating suspicious case scarlet fever at Williston. Report of conclusions in full mailed.

Jan 14th - Examined 3 specimens 1 pos 2 neg. Sent about 50 to the Laboratory. Met several people by appointment a few called during my absence in ofc. This ? drove to Medulla - school had been suspended for the term. Went on 1 1/2 miles farther to Christina where I met Dr. Pearce, who does all the work for that section. He is familiar with the disease, is treating it and has microscope. Says that this most of them are so ignorant he almost has to blindfold them to treat them. Most of them if they know what he is about want to take the medicine. And because of the suspicion asking for specimen creates he goes ahead without it.
