Woman's Club, October 14, 1932
The Woman's Club met in regular
session on October 14th in the club
house with the president, Mrs. Rivers,
presiding. The meeting opened with
the salute to the flag led by Mrs.
Boone, followed by the club creed
read in unison. After the singing
Swannee River, Mrs. Rivers spoke a
few words of greeting to the members
this being the first meeting of the fall.
The minutes of the May meeting were
read and approved. The treasurer's
report was read by Mrs. Roberts as follows:
House Fund -- - - - - -$239.76
Checking - - - - - - - - - 34.25
Conservation - - - - - - 52.40
Beautification - - - - - 78.38
Welfare - - - - - - - - - - 22.12 overdraws
Accepted.
Mrs. Roberts reported Board action
as to dues as follows:
That the initiation fee be abolished
That the names of new members be
placed on the roll upon the payment of
at least half of the dues, or $2.50.
That all members can pay dues
in two installments when wishing
to do so.
The following names were presented to
the club for membership: Mrs.
Marshall Cooke, Miss Sarah Partridge,
Mrs. Harry Wells, Mrs. Earl Smith,
Mrs. Geo. K. Armes, and Miss Louise Conradi.
Mrs. Gramling, corresponding
secretary read the following: note of
appreciation from Mrs. Bond; note
from Mrs. Wahnish, inclosing dues
and resigning from the club; a telegram from
the Postal Telegraph Company expressing
