The program, prepared by
the Court of Awards of the
Girl Scout Council, was in
charge of Mrs. C. J. Doerr, who
expressed the appreciation
of the scout workers (to the
Woman's Club, to whom, she
stated, credit was due for
revising the girl scouts
work in Tallahassee.
The first number was a
beautiful violin solo by
Florence Jones, a scout
accompanied by her mother
Mrs. S. Jones. "The Girl
Scouts; Hope Chest," A Pageant
depicting the qualities
desired in scout members
was impressively presented
by the scouts, directed
by Miss Alice Collins, Mrs.
Doerr next presented Miss
Grace McTillrock, trainer
for southeastern regions
Five and six, who gave a
most interesting talk on
International Scouting.
Mrs. C. F. Piers, our chairman
of badges and awards com
awarded nine badges
of Merit for achievement
for various fields of scouting.
Mrs. Doerr then intro-
duced Dr. Conradi, President
of Fla. State College for Women,
who in an appropriate
address presented the
Golden Eaglet badge to
Miss Frances Levins, the
first girl in Tallahassee
to receive this badge.
