Whereas John Poulter Ma Cooke of Our Ship the Mountague, (which is laid up at Chatham) and John Baker Ma Cooke of Our Ship the Yorke (which is layd up at Portsmouth) haue made their humble Request unto Us, that in regard of their present Habitations (the former liveing at Portsmouth, and the other at Chatham) they may be admitted to exchange their Employments, dureing the tyme Our said Ships shall continue in Harbour; whereunto Wee haue thought fitt to consent. Our will and pleasure is, That you forthwith giue Order for the said Exchange accordingly. And for soe doeing this shalbe yo Warrant. Given at Our Court at Whitehall this sfixfth day of May 1674.

whatsoever contrary to the foregoing Rules. And in case any Armes or any dureable Provisions shall be found wanting, impaired or ill kept, That they cause the foresaid Persons, or such as haue the keeping of them, to make them good, or else to be lyable themselves to make satisfaction for the same; unlesse it shall appear (upon good proofe) that they were impaired by time without their default.
7 That no Com out of any of our said Castles, Forts or Garrisons, to the disfurnishing thereof, any Powder or other serviceable Stores or Provisions of War upon any pretended Service whatsoever without an expresse Warrant from Us, our High Com issioner, The Lords of our Privy Councell, or the Lord High Admirall and the Master of our Ordnance his signification grounded upon the said Warrant. And if at any time any Commander, Captain or Officer whatsoever shall receive a Supply from any other than from the Master of our Ordnance, that he give his Receipt to the Person or Persons from whom he or they shall receive the same; And forthwith to advise the Master of our Ordnance or the Officers of the same, of the quantity & quality of the Stores so received, together with the Places & Persons from whom; and to cause the same to be entered in the Gunners Journall or day-Book, and charged upon Accompt.
ander, Captain or Officer deliver or issue, or cause to be delivered or issued,8. That no Com Garrison untill he shall have accompted to the Master of our Ordnance, of the Expence of his Stores formerly delivered unto [him by] [rest of line obscured by fold] received, or untill the Remaines thereof shall be taken by Order of the Master of our Ordnance; that so the same, together with the Supply may be duly charged upon him againe. And in case of the death or removall of any Governour, Captain, Commander &c: in or from any of our said Garrisons, Castles or Forts, Wee strictly Charge that timely notice thereof be given to the Master of our Ordnance, To the end an Accompt & Remaines may be speedily ordered to be taken of all our Ordnance, Powder, Armes and other Am unition whatsoever within any of our said Garrisons, Castles or Forts at the time of the death or removall of any Governour, Captain or Commander as aforesaid; and that the same may be im ediatly charged by Indenture upon the succeeding Governour, Captain or Com ander upon his or their Entrance into their respective Employments, and an Accompt of the former Expence may be duly stated.
ander, Captain or Officer shall receive any Supply for his Castle, Fort or9 That in case any Com they are not to have any discharge or Allowance upon such Accompt from the Master of our Ordnance, but the said Master is im ediatly to give notice to the Lords of our Privy Councell of the Names of such Captains or Officers, and of the particular defects & faults in their said Accompts; To the end such course may be taken either for punishment or reformation thereof as shall seem most requisite.
ander, Captain or Officer shall be found faulty or short in Their Accompts,And it is our further Will & Pleasure that our right trusty & right welbeloved Councellor Lieutenant Generall James Douglas Master of our Ordnance in our said Kingdome doe com unicate these our Instructions & Orders (by sending Copies of them attested with his hand) to the severall Governours, Captains & Com anders of our Castles, Forts & Garrisons there, to be by them com unicated to the respective Officers under their Com and, To the end the same be puctually observed. For doing all which, These presents shall be to them all and such others as may be therein any way concerned, a sufficient Warrant. Given under our Royall Hand & Signett at our Court at Whitehall the 17th day of July 1688, and of our Reigne the 4th year.

In pursuance of an Order of his Highnesse the Lord Protecto and the Councell, bearing date the 8th of this instant March. These are to will and require You, out of the publique Revenue which now is, or hereafter shall come to yo hands, to pay unto Mr Henry Zinzau al s Alexander, the Sum e of One hundred and fiftie pounds, being in full of all Demands whatsoever from the State. Of which you are not to fayle and for which this shall be yo sufficient warrant. Given at Whitehall this 29th day of March 1654

Admiralty and Cinq PortesWhereas this Comtee is informed by Capt. Tweedy out of the Com~ of the Nauie that upon Conference had by him wth Capt. Willoughby Capt. of the Nonesuch frigat, it appeared to him, that the said Frigat hath thirty six peeces of Ordinance abord her whereas thirty two wilbe sufficient By meanes whereof an unnecessary Charge is drawne upon the State & the vessell made less serviceable These are therefore to pray & require you to Cause four such of her peeces as the Com~ of the Nauy shall thinke fitt to be taken out of the said Frigat & recd into the Stores under yo Charge For wch this shalbe yo sufficient warrant [Passed] at [Westm~] this 17th day of Septem 1647

By vertue of an Ordinance of both Howses of Parliament of the xxjth daie of September. 1643. And in pursuance of an Order of the Commons Howse of the xxviijth daie of Januarie last. these are to will & require you Out of such threasure as now is, or shall be remaninge in your hands, to Paie unto Sr Peter Killagrewe knight the Sume of Fowerscoure pounds for his paines & charges for sundrie Journies by him performed upon Messuages he hath bein imployed in from both Howses of Parliament unto Oxford & Uxbridge. And for soe doeing this together with his Acquittance for the Receipt of the sume shall be your Warrant & discharge; And alsoe to the Auditor generall, or any other Officer of the Revenue whom it may Concerne to Allowe and Passe the same in your Accompte.
