The Moal Powder for Convultions

{L. Hatton} Take the moles alive in March, (that beeing
the only time to make it,) Cutt the throats
of them and let them bleed into a pewter dish
when it has dun bleeding rip it down the
Belley, and take out the Lungs and Guts,
put them to the blood, and Let them all
into an over after bread, and take care the
oven bee not So hot to scorch them, when
they are drye on one side, [herne] them and
Scrape up the blood, and [herne] that likewise,
So keep [herning] till they are drye enough
to powder, then keep them up Cloase in a
boxe, well paperd, and as you have occasion
to use it beat and Leavee it.

This powder Must bee given too or three
days before and after the new and full of
the Moon, or when you find a fit Comeing,
or betwixt fits if they Come often, as
Much as will lye upon a Mill'd groat to a
Child, or a sixpence for a biger person, in
a spoon full or too of rew or black Cherrey
water.

Too large Carrots grated, a penney Loaf
Grated, [2]eggs beat, Sugar and Nutmeg to
your fast, and likewise Salt, Mix it well
and Stir in a pound of Melted butter,
and so bake it halfe on hour.
