an ounce per Rosin 2 p nd cloves & mace each an ounce melt
what will be melted powder the spoce & saffron when all the
things are melted power in by degrees almost a q rt of red wine
stiring it very well then strow in y r powders gently stir
them well when you put in y r wine put in also 10 sponfuls
of Aquavitte when the Powders have boyld a little stir into it
when it is ofe the fire 3 pennyworth of spermacitty stir it till
it is almost cold then anoynt y r hands with oyl or greace
make it up into roles when you use it spread it on the
rough side of sheeps leather let it lye as long as it will
stick
For the Piles or Hemarodes
Mullen leaves unset Leeks beat them together beat them
put therto sheeps suit fry them together put them into a
little Bag apply them hott pile wort rootes & leaves boyld
in fresh Butter & kept after it is strained in a pot to anoynt
also the sole of an old shoe very clean burne it to ashes
take the weight of the Ashes in Deers suit beat them
well together spread it like a plaster & apply it but if
they are broken take unwrought wax fresh Butter mallow
leaves alike in weight boyle it til it be green vse it cold

Dammask rose leaves boyld in faire water in a silver
or new earthen vessel this cured the Kings Arme
and is most extreordinary ade to it a few crumbs
of white bread
