Fitts that affect the Head Fitts of the mother & Stopages
Take Castor Galbanum Assafettida & saffron dryed
& powdered castor & all & made as smal as you can
an equal quantitiy of each & as much mithridate
as will make them into Pills beat all well in a marble
morter if you make an ounce of each put in 3
drams of oyl of Amber mixe them well put it in
a Gally Pott make it into Pills as you use it give
2 larg Pills night & morning for a month at least
For the Piles or Hemrodes
take a dram of the powder of Live Brimstone
& 3 drams of loaf suger make it into
Lozenges with the gelly of quince kirnels
dry them in a stove give on 4 night &
morning I have heard wearing an emrald Ring
will certainly cure alsoe elder Flowers & marsh
mallows boyld in milk & bath them hott therwith
For the Palsy tho the speech be lost
Take sage leaves steep about 20 or 30 in a little
Brandy when y u vse a leafe dap a cloth upon it
to dry it a little put it in your mouth or ther
mouth chew it & swalow y r spittle tel ther is all
the goodnes got out of that then take another
vse it in the same manner so doe all the day
long it is an excellent to bring the vse of the
Tongue when lost make new euery day
