Take the root contrayerva the Trochisk of [vipers] Red corral prepared whit Amdber Amber perle prepared Hartshorne & gvory prepared & crabbs eyes prepared seach 2 drams very finely beat & serced the black tipps of crabbs claws taken in bay (if posible) the weight of all of the best Berna Bezoar 3 drams of Ambergreice 5 graines musk 2 graines grind & timper the musk & Ambergreice with suger candy & then mixe them with the rest in a morter & make the mixture up in a mass with jelly of Hartshorne not boyld to high mixe the jelly wth rose water if it be for weomen leave out the musk & Amber greic To make it more powerful in pestilential Feavors & Agues to the proportion of Powders above mentioned with a lesse proportion of powders above mentioned Bezoar uiz 2 drams of Bozoar before they are tempered with the jelly must be added of tormented rootes & Angelico rootes each 2 drams & saffrom a dram in this mixture burnt Hartshorne & gvory misted of other & the jelly tinctured with saffron alsoe yu must put in root of masterwort a dram alsoe rootes of Petasitis or Butter Burr wch must be taken spring or fall clens shit & dry them in an oven & Powder them & keep the Powder in a clean glasse clos stoped
