Dragons, Pimpernell, Scabious Egrimeny, Rosa-Solis,

Tormentill, Elicompane, Angellies, Ledeary English Licorish
of each an ounce: beat roots and herbs in a a stone Mortar
then steep um two dayes in a gallon of White-wine, and
one quart of Sack. Distill it in a rose-Still well pasted round
with rye-paist, and the Reciever well pa stopd close with browne
paper lett it runn on white sugar-candy two ounces to a
bottle: you may putt the first and Second running togeather
for that will make both good

To make haire growe where there is none

Take bees and burne um uppon a fire-shovell or some
such thing: then boyle the ashes of the Bees in sallet oyle
then annoynt the place therewith where you would have

Take a pound and a halfe of Dock rootes, three
handfulls of harts tongue, four handfulls of dandelion
rootes; then three handfulls of femetary put them into
a bagg to foure gallons of small Ale.

on a shillings [slisted] in a sponndfull of bere or any other
lickour in the morning fasting and in the medle of your meal
or any other time the wind troubles you.

of milke and put them in, keep itt stiring that itt burne not
till itt is as thick as a puding, then put itt in an earthen
pan and Cover itt close all night; then take peniroyall, Sage
& fennell of each a good handfull a great oynion & 3 or 4
leeks heads, to this put 4 [pounds] of Beefe Sewit Shred, 4 or 5
eggs beaton Some Salte, a Spoonfull of beaton pepper and
a nuttmeg grated, to this add a boute a quart of sheeps
bloud, you make make them with hoggs bloud and fat
cute Smale if you please.
