which brings an account that the Confederate Army in Daup

houres of Ambrim in theire way towards Pied
mont haveing burnt the Towne of Gappwith:
the adiacent villages for refuseing to pay Contribu
cion & sent some Detachments of horse to doe the
like on the ffrontiers of Province for nonpayment:
& have vndermined the Gates & Bastions of Ambr
um as alsoe the Castle of [Inillestre] in order
to blew them vp before they march out of Province
& that the Duke: of Savoy was soe well recovered that hee
Intended to sett forward for Turin about the 16th:
Instant his Army being to follow some few dayes
after
Duke of Savoys invasion of France comes
to nothing
They write from Vienna that Prince ~
Lewis of Baden is verey advantagiously
posed with the Imperiall Army near Peter
warraden where hee Intrench his Camp whereby
tis beleiued hee will Continue there till he knows
the Designes of the Turkes which as yett are ~
variously repported some Saying if the ~
Prince Visier has orders to give him battle
& if victor forthwith to forme the seige of
Esteck & others that hee is not in a Condicion but

They write from Paris that the King has
taken a resolucion to raise 4000 new forces &
to build betweene 30 & 40 men of warr to add
to his ffleet That the Count de Parvill went
some dayes agoe for Brest to looke after
the navall preparation And that 4 men
