Dartm^outh 10^th the Saldadoe frigot
hath brought in a ffrench. privateer belonging
to Deepe which he tooke at Shorham - yester=
-=day dyed ^here Captpaine Charles Stocker Comander
of the Clously-Gally of a Calenture as did
some of his men and divers others of the ships
Crew are disch distempered with the like which malady
is supposed they brought with them from the
Coast of Spaine

Portsm^outh 12^o. on wednesday sailed
from Spitthead the Lisbone fleet with their -
Convoy - & yesterday arrived at Spitthead the-
Dutch Streights fleet upwards of 200 saile
where they are to stay for the ioyning of
our fleet & then saile all together for the -
Streights with their Convoy which wilbe above 20-
men of war English & Dutch-

Rye the 11^o. yesterday we discovered -
a small boate to make from a ship & land 2 -
persons near this place which we being curious to learn
the occasion seized the men & having them before a-
magistrate found they were come on some secret -
Intreague from France on which they are Comitted
& the Government acquainted therewith

The Duke. of Richmond had now -
acquainted the King with his marriage with the
Lady Bellasis which the King said he was sorry for
hoping he would have continued in the Protestant

-a 2d Declaracon of King James - this day the house of Comons after reading 5 -
private bills resolved into a grand Comittee on the. Million bill & filled upp the blanks -
--& all owing 10^li per annum interest for 5 yeares to be paid weekly out of the Excise at -
1923^li 2^s 6^d per week & go upon the same on munday- the house of Lords has -
been all this day hearing of Councell & debating the matter of the Lord Banbury whether
to admit him to his Peerage or not & was sitting at 7 at night by which I know not the Result
