Yesterday Whitney the Notorious Highwayman was drawn in a Cart to Cow Cross and being come under the Gibbett desired the Sheriff to spare what time he could as beleiveing to have a 2d reprive haveing ^wrott 4 Letters to as many Noble Men and in the Interim Whispered a Considerable time to the sheriff upon matter as tis said relateing to the Government & made a Confession of his sins in Generall & about one a Clock was turned off & made a sudden Exit hanging above an houre to sattisfie the Multitude

A Clause was Offered that tradesmen in Corporacions Might goe 10 Miles with the Commodities but it was reiected The House afterwards devided whether the bill should be Engrossed & Carryed it in the affirmative yeas 230 Nay 130 The Bill for a trienniall Parliment was read a 2d time and Committed to a Committee of the whole house- ordered that the house goe upon waies & Meanes to Morrow for raiseing a further supply & the house to be Called over on Thursday next & the East: India Affaier to be heard on Satterday
