his Maiestie dined yesterday at
Hampton Court where her Maiestie mett
him and returned in the Evening to Kensing

The house of peers yesterday pro
ceeded further upon the Matter of Advice
relating to the Livetenancy of London
but Mr Willmott delivered a print
setting forth the names of the present
Livetenants with a Character of divers
of them which their Lordships conceived
was very reflective and thereupon ordered
that the said Mr Willmot be taken
Into Custody of the Black Rodd and
brought to the Barr this Morning

Tis Generally said that his
Maiestie had conferred the place of Master of the
horse on the Duke of Sommersett which
was possessed by the Heer Overkirk and
that his Lordship is to haue a valuable Con-
sideracion for the same - tis also said
that his Maiestie has been pleased to give
Collonel Godfreys Regiment of horse to
Collonel Langston

The Merchants haue the good
News that the stiller is arrived from
Genoa having 400 Bails ^of Silk on board which
they had given for Lost

Portsmouth the 19th on Thursday
night the King arrived here to the great
Ioy of all the garison the next Morning
his Maiestie viewed all the ffortificacions

The Bill was Committed and ordered to be upon the same again to Morrow -
after the hearing of the Aulnage Bill = This morning the house of Commons
read the first the Bill for paying of Orphans debts and ordered a second
reading on Thursday = they afterwards debated the Affair of the East India Company
and ffinding the Session of Parliament too farr Spent to Pass it
