the Informacion given to this house it

Abuses and Mismanagement in the Af
fairs of Ireland and resolved that an
Address be presented to his Maiestie to Certfy
the said Abuses.

Weymouth the 22 Inst on ~
Munday last came in here the Grafton
Sloop & Basing Privatteer who on Sunday
mett near La Hogue 8 ffrench: Merchant ~
Shipps one Carrying 26 another 8 Guns
whome they fought above 2 houres &
att last drove them a shore

Yesterday morning one Mr Cook
Minister of Islington was found dead
near Black ffryars Staires his head much
bruised his Tongue hanging out of his
Mouth by which 'tis Concluded hee was Murthered

The aforesaid papers reflected on his Exelencyes severity alsoe on the Lord Coningsby & verye heard on Mr Culliford
& the latter being not in the house for that they could not find him to give him a Summons the debate run high to
Expell him & Considering they ought to doe that Iustice to a Member as first to heare him before they proceed
in such a Method they went off from that Poynt the Lord Coningsby being in his place spake to several heads
charged vpon him but tis said his Lordshipp owning a seperate Article Agred to the Irish some layd great hold
of itt & Continued the debate of this matter til 6 in the Evening & att last came to the resolucion aforemencioned

& Robbed haveing noe money h in his ~~
pockets but one halfe penney

Sir William Petty's Widdow was lately
married to Sir Thomas: Crafton an Irish Gentleman

yesterday the king Dined at-
the Lord Newbury's and was for some time afterwards
in the treasury Office after which he assisted in a
Committe of Councill at the Lord Nottingham's office

We hear all the fforeign fforces
will be sent out of England

Its said that Admirall Russell
will lay down his place of Treasurer of the Navy
& that it will bee given to Sir Edward Seymour

Sir Nicholas Butler wee heare
will bee made one of the Comissioners of the
Customes which place hee had in the Reigne of
the late King James & was one of his privy Councell

Captain Cook & Captain Ash who
were lately taken into Custody for Impresing
men & sending them to fflanders were Yesterday
Bayled before the Lord Cheife Justice who told
them that what they had done was worse then
Robbing on the Highway & they are bound
over to Answeare the same the next sessions
att the Old Bayly.

Sir Thomas Stamp Sir William Ashurst
& the present Lord Maior are the Candidates to
Succeed Sir William Turner as Burges in
Parliament for this Citty

The Papers delivered Yesterday to the house of Commons by Sir ffrancis Brewster &c contained in Substance
(vizt) the selling forfeited ^lands att the 24th parte of the value to Iudges &c in Trust for persons vnknown
for protecting the Irish whereby the Protestants could not sue for theire debts, for Imbezelling the
the Publick venues & stores for not paying the Army for proroguing the Parliament in Ireland before
they could redress greviences for mismanaging the Treasurey & other heads too long to bee here inserted
