The Earl of Portland is not Dead As some have wrot but is a hopefull way of Recovery haveing received some Rest & his hickup is stopped by his Methods Perscribed by his Phisicians being the Entrailes of a Lamb layd Warm to his Stomack which wonderfully releived him

Wee have an account that Sir Thomas: Roberts Knight of the Sheire for the County of Kent designed this week to goe Down on the Turnbridg Coach but his Man bringing up his horses Sir Thomas Willingly Lost his Ernest and the Coaches being on the Road 8 persons on horse back came vp to one of them & ffireing aPistoll wounded a Gentleman: but finding his Mistake craved his Pardon saying they Designed it against the Rogue Roberts-

yesterday a ffire hapned in a Sugar Bakers house in the Lower end of Queen Street near Cheapeside which burnt that and Damnifyed another adioyning house & 4 persons were Killed by the ffalling of a Stock of Chimneys A fire in Queen street

The Letters from Ireland since my Last say that all things are in perfect Peace there

On Tuesday Eavening one Mr Perkins in Hatton Garden shott him him himselfe with a long Gun & did soe artifitially Contrive his Death as to fasten a Packthread to the tricker and brought over the but end & pulled the thread which discharged the peice & shott him selfe Dead sitting in his Chaier Mr Perkins's self murder

The beginning of this Week a Refiner near Cripplegate was taken with above 60 Ounces of Clippings & some of the Lady Dartmouths Plate & is Committed to Newgate a Clipper
